Chrome and IE safer than Firefox

The study is funded by Google has come to a conclusion that Google Chrome is, or was at the time the tests were conducted, “the web browser that is insured against attack.”
Researchers at security company Accuvant released a study Friday that identifies the security features of the three web browsers: Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. The results show that Google is leading toward security door, Microsoft is right after Google and Firefox remains in third place. “Although both Google Chrome and IE are challenging, Chrome is a little better,” says researcher from Accuvant, Ryan Smith. And, as far as Firefox, “We have tried to find places where Firefox can improve its code base,” says Smith with a good attitude.

Accuvant study, which was made independently but Google as the commission had focused on mitigating the exploitation: instead of counting it in three browsers weaknesses, he assumed that hackers could find potential holes hacking in the three browsers.

Jonathan Nightingale of Mozilla responds in a statement: “Firefox includes a wide array of technologies to eliminate or reduce security risks, the platform-level features such as choice of address space to internal systems such as infectious frames of system interface our. Sandboxing is a useful supplement to the tool that we are investigating, but no technology is not a silver bullet. We invest in safety along the development process with external observations and internal code, constant testing and code analysis, operation and rapid response to security issues as they arise. We are proud of our reputation in security and this remains a central priority for Firefox,
