British Agency hiring hiring code crackers
Can you break the code? This is the question that the British agency GCHQ is made in an online campaign to find the next generation of cyber experts.
GCHQ in the serenity of a website cryptically released last month by offering a box built with code numbers and letters. There is no brand on the page, only the “Can you break it?”.
The Agency has now indicated that it is behind a long campaign and said Friday it is trying to reach individuals with “a keen interest in breaking the code of ethics and hack” for professionals in GCHQ.
“It is to awaken interest in people who may not be occupied by normal recruitment campaigns,” said a spokesman from GCHQ, speaking on condition of anonymity.
Breaking the code reveals a word, which was when written in a space to present website recruitment agency working in GCHQ.
The Agency is currently recruiting cyber security specialists – for a salary of £ 25.000 (39.000 dollars) – and hopes to employ about 35 people over the coming months, the spokesman said.
More than 50 people have successfully managed so far to break the code – of which 80% have completed an application, the spokesman said.
GCHQ said the fast pace of the movement of digital and cyber security field means that it must find new ways to deal with prospective candidates, who typically have access to the agency as graduates.
